Description
It has been 20 years since the Bladed Jig was established as one of the most productive bass lures in History. Keitech’s version incorporates a radically different design years in the making. Many anglers use our Swimbaits as trailers for the Bladed jig. Our goal was to produce an example which pairs perfectly with our Swimbaits. Using top Notch materials and Keitech’s Attention to detail the Rumblade was born.
Five years on, this is our answer to the challenge of the bladed jig.
The biggest feature is the way the blade is connected. The special bent wire, similar to the structure of a spinnerbait, is attached through two holes on the top and bottom of the blade. This provides the following advantages
The blade is always raised against the jig head, meaning it is ready to move as soon as it hits the water. It can provide effective action even in narrow spaces such as the gaps between shallow cover. In addition, the blade has a small range of motion and is less likely to lose balance, so it will not break down even when reeled in at high speed.
The blade catches the water firmly during the fall, creating a swaying, shimmy fall action. This produce hits even on the fall.
The movement of the blade caused by the resistance of the water is transmitted through the wire to the jig and then to the trailer. This Unique action and backward vibration, creates a high fish-attracting effect.
Anglers who are experts with bladed jigs unanimously agree on the importance of sound. During the testing process, there were many instances where sound may have been the only thing that elicited a reaction.
The Rumblade creates sound in multiple ways, the metal contact between the bottom end of the blade and the head, and between the blade and the brass beads attached to the upper arm. These appeal to the bass's instincts.
